Adam and Eve
In my recent sculpture in the round, Adam and Eve, I explore the timeless narrative of humanity’s origins through a dynamic interplay of form and symbol. Perched atop a sphere embodying Earth, Eve extends an apple upward—an offering to the divine, reimagining her role as a figure of agency and reverence. Beside her, Adam reclines on the globe, grasping a fragment of a vanquished snake in one hand while reaching toward Eve with the other, suggesting both triumph over temptation and an enduring connection to his counterpart. This work examines Adam and Eve’s submission to the gods as an attempt to reconcile their fall, yet poses the question: do the gods listen? It invites viewers to reconsider the duality of creation, power, and redemption within the human experience.
